REMUNERATION SURVEY NIGERIA - 2006
Market Environment
Nigeria’s highly volatile economic environment creates a major need for accurate and relevant information. Compensation data covering the remuneration of company staff is essential in these high inflationary times to be able to retain key employees and reduce the costs associated with high turnover. Compensation data is essential to companies: just as important is critical information on market movement of functions and key positions and developments in the Nigerian's compensation market.
Over the past 5 years major changes have occurred in the development of fringe benefits offered by companies to their staff - both managerial and non-managerial. Companies have also become more advanced, sophisticated and focused in their remuneration strategies as they are a large cost component of every company which needs to be carefully managed and controlled.
