The TEC 2009 suryey questionnaire is online. Completion deadline is mid-September 2009. The program has been greatly improved for downloading data and the job matching exercise simplified for current Hay, Mercer, Watson Wyatt users. Also new countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Russia) have been added as more and more regional executives are based in these countries.

One week after the marketing campaign, Barclays Bank confirmed their participation for 2006, and Shell as well as TNT have shown strong interest. We are currently working on the companies which missed the last year deadline (Firmenich, Getronic, Microsoft, ST Electronics and Symantec) and they should normally be part of the 2006 edition.

In the meantime, we have worked on the software to improve some functionalities. One of the major improvement, beside fixing some minor bugs, is the possibility for participants using Hay, Mercer or Watson Wyatt job evaluation systems to report their current evaluation scores which considerably simplifies the job matching process. The TEC program now integrates this option and also gives the possibility to participants to get output report with the choice of job matching points (i.e. TEC, HAY, Mercer or Watson Wyatt scores).

A word of warning: the TEC software has no intent to replace any evaluation systems cited above, but just merely give the participants some correlation of TEC job matching points vis-à-vis the other existing well established evaluation systems!

Overall, more than 600 incumbents have been reported to the survey. We will continue our active marketing of the TEC survey in 2006 to increase the participation rate in order to offer our clients a solid multi-countries, multi-sectors executive database.

Next TEC publication expected for mid-year 2006 where participants will be asked to update their data should any salary increases being planned until June 2006 inclusive. Also, as it is the first edition  of the TEC survey, and now that participants have access to the results, it would be wise to review carefully the job matching to ensure that the reported positions have not been over or under evaluated. We have spend a lot of time doing some data cleaning as well as to review some of the evaluation and we would appreciate if you could validate them for the next release.

April 4, 2005

The survey marketing has been launched.

November 24, 2004

Hewlett Packard and Philip Morris International will be the sponsors of the 2005 edition. As as result, and as previously said, the cost of the survey for 2005 will be reduced to € 1'000.-. As far as the timing is concerned, the participants data will have to be returned by the end of June 2005, and the results will be expected by mid to end of September.

November 2, 2004

In order to optimize the quality of the survey and due to some recent strategic alliances, we have decided to postpone this project to next spring 2005. In the meantime we have teamed-up with additional geographical partners and are negotiating with Hewlett Packard, Serono and Philip Morris to co-sponsor our survey. As a result of this corporate support, we should enjoy a far better market visibility (within the High Tech, Pharma and Consumer Goods sectors), and last but not least, should come-up with an attractive participation fee for 2005 of € 1'000.- (in lieu of the initial € 2'850.-).
